GTRs re-ranked:
1. KPGC10, because S20 goodness, fabulous looks, and historic value
2. R34, because fabulous looks with awesome technology
3. R33 because good looks, a little more refinement than the R32, and Motorex significance
4. R32 because not as good looking or refined as the R33, but still pretty awesome. The first modern GTR, with oodles of 90s tech (Not all of which worked too well) and modern convenience.
5. KPGC110 because neither as good looking, nor as historically significant as the KPGC10
6. R35, because while it’s a modern marvel and incredibly fast, not just for the price (plus infinitely modifiable), it just doesn’t have the same spirit as the rest of the Skyline family (plus it’s not even a Skyline!).
7. R31 (Wasn’t technically a GTR any ways, but a GTS-R) because it wasn’t super fast and isn’t very good looking (I know most will disagree, but we only say it has good looks because it’s charming in an 80s-boxy sort of way)

Yes, thank you for appreciating the R33 as much as I do.

GT-R’s correctly ranked
1)
R32
2)
R34
3)
Hakosuka
4)
R33
5)
Kenmeri
I don’t count the R31 as a “true” GT-R, because technically it is a GTS-R, so therefore I leave it off.

I can’t argue with the logic, I want an R32 though, looks more angular and unique. I have my Z but I might be tempted to import something someday. I’m going back to Japan next month so I will keep an eye out for cars and hopefully have some good pics with I get back.

I love all the Skylines equally because they are just that damn lovely to me. However, I do not know how to feel about the R31 and Kenmeri specifically, since I have yet to see those in person. I’ve seen the rest in person though, finally got a chance to see the Hakosuka at the Mayday Garage Turkey Run...

The R33 in any form is worse than the R30 in any form. It’s a failure in every aspect and always owned by the same kinds of people. People that wanted a 32 or 34 but can’t afford one.

100% agree with your ranking, the R35 has never really appealed to me either. PLike you said it lacks the Spirit of the Skyline family. It’s so focused on being faster than other cars and it does that well but they don’t even let you row through your own gears in it. Where’s the real fun in that. Also, it doesn’t sound as good as the rest of the family, especially the R33 and R34.

Nice front end, ugly taillights.
